Slider

What is Slider ?

Slider is an incremental forward-chaining reasoner supporting the following rule sets:

  • ρDF Default
  • ρDF Full
  • RDFS Default
  • RDFS Full
Slider allows to custom these fragments by selecting the rules to use for the inference. Additional rules can be easily added by implementing a single method.
Slider provides both batch and incremental reasoning.
It is a full Java project.

Main features

  • Parallel and Scalable Execution: Each inference rule is mapped to an independent module, receiving intended triples and later distributing them to other modules for further processing.
  • Duplicates Limitation: Vertical partitioning and multiple indexing limit the production of duplicates and avoid unnecessary computation.
  • Data Stream Support: Slider can handle both dynamic triple streams and static triples sets by employing parallel architecture.
  • Fragment's Customization: Slider natively support both RDFS and ρdf fragments, and can be extended to any other fragments.

Project informations

OpenCloudware is a collaborative project. The project members include industry and academic leaders, innovative technology start-ups and a world-renowned open source community.

OpenCloudware outputs will be offered under an OSI compliant open source license and the code distributed via the OW2 Consortium software forge as part of the OW2 Open Source Cloudware Initiative>.

The project started in January 2012 and is planned to last three years, until December 2014. The end of project has been postponed until September 2015.
